Matchless Egypt

We are delighted to introduce our 13 day/12 night Matchless Egypt program featuring the recently opened 17 suite Le Riad boutique hotel: located in the heart of Cairo within a few minutes walk of the Khan el Khalil Bazaar, the hotel combines some of Egypt’s best design elements with all 21st century comforts. We begin with 3 nights at the historic Mena House Hotel, 1 night at the Movenpick Hotel in Aswan, a 3 night cruise on board the elegant Movenpick HS Royal Lily, 2 nights at Luxor’s romantic and exquisite Al Moudira Hotel and ending with a 3 night stay at Le Riad.

All tours in Cairo are by private car with driver and local English speaking guide. Ample leisure time allows for independent exploration. Group tours to all major sites between Aswan and Luxor are included on the cruise. Breakfast is included throughout as well as lunches and dinners on the Nile cruise. Local flights, the excursion to the Abu Simbel Temples by air from Aswan and all transfers are included.

Saturday: Arrive Cairo International Airport, meeting and assistance through customs and transfer to the hotel.

Sunday:AM: Visit to the Ancient Capital of Egypt at Memphis, the Step Pyramid and the Tombs of Sakkara. Lunch at a local restaurant. PM: visit to the early pyramid sites at Dahshur.

Monday:AM: Visit to the Great Pyramids of Giza, the Sphinx, the Valley Temple and the Solar Boat Museum. PM: free

Tuesday:AM: free PM:Transfer from the hotel to the airport for flight to Aswan . Transfer to the hotel.

Wednesday:AM: Transfer from hotel to the airport for flight to Abu Simbel. Half day visit to the Temples of Ramses II and Nefertari. Return flight to Aswan. Transfer to the Movenpick HS Royal Lily. PM: Tour the Temple of Philae, the Unfinished Obelisk and the Aswan High Dam

Thursday: AM: sail to Kom Ombo and explore the temple dedicated to Sobek and Haeroris. Sail to Edfu and a visit to the well- preserved Horus Temple.

Friday: After arrival in Luxor, tour the legendary Valley of the Kings and Queens, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. Afternoon exploration of Karnak and Luxor Temples.

Saturday: Check out and transfer to Al Moudira Hotel. Balance of the day at leisure.

Sunday: At leisure.

Monday: late AM: Transfer from the hotel to the airport for flight to Cairo. Transfer to the hotel.

Tuesday: Morning tour of the Egyptian Museum including the Mummy Room. PM: free

Wednesday: Morning visit to the Coptic Museum, the Hanging Church, Abu Serga Church and Ben Ezra Synagogue.

Thursday: Transfer from the hotel to the airport for final departure.
